The letter contains Donchev’s hearty thanks to Salvini about the three modern Italian novels he has sent him. He explains how difficult it is to find such books. Donchev hopes that Salvini has received the works by Bulgarian authors and by the Ministry of Information and Arts. He requests some literary critique books and mentions that he has been preparing a collection of his own essays.
